About CVI Services
Joliet Township is committed to reducing gun violence in the community. The Community Violence Intervention (CVI) Services program provides support through case management, street outreach, victim advocacy, and community activities. This program helps high-risk individuals*, including those who may commit violence, those who have already done so, victims, and their families.
* Who We Help (High-Risk Individuals):
High-risk individuals include people who are involved in street or gang violence, recently released from jail or detention, involved with the justice system, or showing signs of PTSD or abuse. The program also helps people who have lost a family member to gun or drug violence, those with past convictions for violent crimes, recent victims of violence, or people showing high-risk or violent behavior, including online threats.
