Therapy for youth and young adults aged 6 to 24 in the Will County area. Therapy sessions are free and last 60 to 90 minutes. There is no limit to how many sessions a client can have, but it is suggested to meet once a week. The therapists are trained in special techniques like Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). These techniques help clients deal with trauma and feel better.

**Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)** is a structured, short-term therapy designed to help children and adolescents process and cope with trauma. It combines cognitive behavioral techniques with trauma-sensitive interventions, allowing individuals to understand their feelings, develop coping strategies, and gradually confront traumatic memories in a safe environment.

**Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)** is a psychotherapy technique that helps individuals process traumatic memories by using guided eye movements. During EMDR, clients recall distressing events while simultaneously following the therapist's hand movements. This dual focus helps to reprocess the memories, reducing their emotional impact and alleviating symptoms associated with trauma, such as anxiety and flashbacks.

These presentations teach youth and their families about trauma and coping skills. These sessions help people understand trauma and learn how to respond effectively, building strength and well-being in the community. Open to any group in areas identified with high gun violence.

Provide educational presentations for agencies and organizations. These programs give staff and professionals important information about trauma and its effects. Therapy modalities and coping skills are then discussed. This helps agencies better support the people they work with, making agencies stronger in meeting community needs.

Therapists assist clients in connecting to services such as bill assistance, government benefits, mental health resources, and other types of services.
