Rides for Seniors and People with Disabilities

We offer rides for seniors who are 55 years or older and for people with medical disabilities. These rides take you to medical appointments and pharmacies inside Joliet Township and up to 10 miles outside of it. To schedule a ride, call us at least two days before your appointment. We will confirm your ride the day before your trip.

Service Hours: Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 6 PM

Cost: We suggest a $2 donation per trip, but it’s not required. Cash only.

Rides for Partner Agency Clients

If you work with a caseworker at one of our partner agencies, we can give you rides to medical and social service appointments. Your caseworker will help you fill out the forms you need. Agencies that want to join the program need to meet with us first to agree on a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

Partner your Agency

By building partnerships Joliet Township Government aims to reduce the incidence of clients falling through the cracks due to missed appointments or follow-ups caused by transportation barriers, thereby fostering a more inclusive community. As a partner agency, your organization can benefit from reliable, low-cost transportation services for clients. We provide an easy way for your staff to request transportation, with clear and consistent communication to ensure no client is left behind due to lack of transportation.

Any agency that serves our residents and is located within the Joliet Township Government borders may partner with us for the transportation needs of their clients.

The program will facilitate trips for the agency clients to various essential destinations including doctor appointments, pharmacies, medical centers, and community centers. Contact via email at Transportation@joliettownship.net to discuss possible partnerships.
